Military Mtarfa 22-23 May 2010
On the occasion of its 25th Anniversary, AMACS participated in Military Mtarfa, which was held on 21 and 23 May 2010. Members set up an academic display of select firearms and militaria depicting Maltese military history from Roman times right up the the end of British colonial rule. The fine display, which was inaugurated by the British High Commissioner, was located in the beautiful setting of the former Officers Mess in what is now the Godwin Ganado Primary School. Members of Battlefront Living History Group participated in re-enactment displays depicting a possible scenario had the AXIS invasion of Malta occurred as planned. The event was organised in collaboration with the Mtarfa Local Council.
