POLICE LICENCE RENEWALS FOR 2025 ARE NOW OPEN!
The Malta Police Force is accepting firearm licence renewals. However, you must first renew your AMACS membership, if you have not already done so. Click here to access the system, update your details and renew your membership and insurance cover before printing the two documents from the comfort of your own home.
Over the past month, AMACS and its affiliated clubs have undergone a restructuring process, which is now reflected in the updated online renewal system. You will note a number of changes brought about by the amalgamation of some of the affiliated clubs, a process that has simplified our structure, made it more efficient. The new fee structure is as follows:
Association of Maltese Arms Collectors & Shooters (AMACS) – €20
This must always be selected in combination with at least one of the four clubs:
The Malta Arms & Militaria Society (MAMS) – €5
Select if you have or want to acquire a Collector Licence A (Standard or Special).
Malta Licence A Shooting Club (MLASC) – €10
Select if you have or want to acquire a Target Shooter Licence A (Standard or Special), covering Rifle, Pistol and Crossbow.
Malta Licence B Shooting Club (MLBSC) – €10
Select if you have or want to acquire a Target Shooter Licence B, covering Shotguns, Muzzle-Loaders and Airguns.
Malta HBI Extreme Sports Club (MHBIC) – €5
Select if you own and use Airsoft and Paintball guns, which do not require a Police licence.
Please note that if you possess a Target Shooter Licence A Special, you must send a scan of the log book, showing that you have attended at least three events in 2024, to info@amacs-malta.org.
From this year, you will also need to submit a medical certificate when renewing your Police Licences. Download and print the Police Health Certification Form, which must be filled in and signed by your GP, and submit it at your local Police Station together with the 2025 AMACS Membership Book and Insurance Certificate.
Renewals in person at the AMACS office are also being accepted on Wednesdays between 14:00h and 20:00h.
Finally, we encourage you to support our efforts by selecting all clubs, which now amount to €50 in total.
