Third Conventional Pistol Competition

Competitors in our third Bullseye event were evidently feeling the heat as our average score dipped somewhat – this is not really surprising seeing that shooting from 1500hrs until 1700hrs is not exactly a recipe for cool conditions. Nevertheless, respectable scores were obtained and it’s good to see new faces turning up for these events.

As always, we had the categories of rimfire and centrefire and shooters used both revolvers and semi-automatic pistols (and in some cases, regretted having turned up with some “race gun” whilst leaving their tried and tested “old faithfuls” back home – but we bet they won’t be making that same mistake again).

The centrefire category was won by Alex Vella, followed by Herman Buttigieg and Richard Scotto. Sintio Schembri led in the rimfire category (with the day’s highest score of 119), followed by Mervyn Borg and Clive Chipperfield.
