AMACS CONDEMNS SENDING OF ANONYMOUS LETTER
AMACS condemns this cowardly act and hopes that the Police will manage to identify the source of the anonymous letter for the sake of truth.
In its thirty years of actively promoting sports shooting and achieving huge gains for enthusiasts the Association and its members have never had reason to resort to threats to reach their stated goals and they have no reason do so now that the final objective, that of having one facility that unites enthusiasts from all organisations, is nearing fruition.
AMACS likewise condemns the irresponsible statements by the Jesuit provincial and others who in the absence of any proof or logic have jumped to conclusions and are using them to tarnish the developer, the organisations supporting them and the entire target shooting fraternity in order to gain public sympathy.
The Association reiterates its position in favour of the National Range project and urges the objectors to enter into rational discussions with the developers in order to assess the scientific solutions being proposed.
