2025 ONLINE MEMBERSHIP RENEWALS ARE NOW OPEN!

We are pleased to inform our members that online membership renewals for 2025 are now open, following a delay caused by the late announcement of the 2025 increase in insurance premium. Moreover, AMACS and its affiliated clubs have undergone a reorganisational process, which is now reflected in the updated online renewal system.

Please click here to access the system, update your details and renew your membership and insurance cover before printing the two documents from the comfort of your own home.

Renewals in person at the AMACS office will also be accepted from Wednesday 4 December (14:00h to 20:00h). Please bring your 2024 documents with you if you choose this option.

You will note a number of changes brought about by the amalgamation of some of the affiliated clubs, a process that has simplified our structure, made it more efficient and, above all, reduced your cost.

While the annual fee for obligatory membership of AMACS has increased from €15 to €20, the fees for the affiliated clubs, of which you must select at least one, has been reduced as a result of the amalgamation:

MRPSC and MCSC, which had a yearly fee of €10 and €5 respectively, have now merged to become the Malta Licence A Shooting Club (MLASC), with a yearly fee of €10. This club covers all shooting disciplines requiring a Target Shooter Licence A, i.e. those using Rifle, Pistol and Crossbow.

MMSC, MCPSC and MASC, which each had a yearly fee of €5, have merged to become the Malta Licence B Shooting Club (MLBSC), with a yearly fee of €10. This club covers all shooting disciplines requiring a Target Shooter Licence B, i.e. those using Shotguns, Muzzle-Loaders and Airguns.

MTAC and HBI, which each had a yearly fee of €5, have merged to become the Malta HBI Extreme Sports Club (MHBIC), with a yearly fee of €5. This club covers all shooting disciplines not requiring a police licence, i.e. those using Airsoft and Paintball guns.

The Malta Arms & Militaria Society (MAMS), covering the collection of arms and ammunition requiring a Collector Licence A or A Special, remains unchanged with a €5 yearly membership fee.

This new structure simplifies the choice of clubs, which are now directly related to the licences you possess or wish to possess. We encourage you to select all clubs, which now amount to €50 in total.

It is important to note that renewals of the Target Shooter Licence A Special requires our endorsement upon submission of a scan of the log book showing that you have attended at least three events in 2024. Please send your scan to info@amacs-malta.org.

Finally, as you may have heard, the Police have introduced the requirement of a yearly medical certificate upon renewal. The national Federations FACTS, MSSF and FKNK have requested a meeting with the Commissioner to discuss their concerns and offer their proposal. However, in the meantime please print the Police Health Certification Form, which must be filled in and signed by your GP, and submit it at your local Police Station together with the 2025 AMACS Membership Book and Insurance Certificate when you renew your Police licences at the beginning of the year.

Please be prompt with your renewals!

Best regards,
