12 AUGUST 2024: AMACS MEMBERS APPROVE THE NEW STATUTE

AMACS members attended an Extraordinary General Meeting on Monday 12 August 2024 and approved important amendments to the Statute, thereby introducing significant improvements in the Association’s structure and modus operandi. AMACS has once again shown its leadership in efforts aimed at constantly raising the bar for our community of collectors, target shooters and re-enactors.

In brief, the New Statute shall usher in the following important developments:

The Affiliated Clubs shall achieve full autonomy to pursue their objectives while benefiting from an affiliation with an Association that is fully supportive of their endeavors and provides them with facilities and a sound legal structure required to operate;

The three ‘Executive Officials’ (President, Secretary and Treasurer) of the AMACS Committee shall be elected by the individual members of all Affiliated Clubs while the rest of the committee shall be composed of one nominee per Affiliated Club (‘Nominated Officials’);

The enhancement of AMACS’ role in bringing these Affiliated Clubs together to pool resources required to improve clubs’ service to their members.

Following the adoption of the new Statute, members moved to elect the three Executive Officials:

President: Stephen Petroni

Secretary: Sasha Golovkin

Treasurer: Ray Hänsch

In the coming days, the President will be meeting with the Affiliated Clubs to discuss their submissions for registration with the new sports regulator AIMS and their nominations for their representative to the AMACS Committee.
