Talk and Demonstration on different systems for auto-loading pistols – Wed 21 May 2014

A good number of members attended a talk and demonstration was held by Dr Jean Karl Soler at the AMACS premises on Wednesday, 21 May.

?Different systems for auto-loading pistols ? blow-back against locked-breech designs?

The talk was about the auto-loading pistol, and how different designs addressed the challenges involved in automatically ejecting the spent cartridge case after firing the pistol, and stripping a new round from the magazine. Specifically we would look at different designs, including the blow-back and the locked breech designs, demonstrating examples with factory cut-out demonstration models.
